Calculations of ACS "Acacia" and MLRS "Grad" destroyed a conditional enemy during exercises in the Urals
The gunners of the Central Military District (CVO) destroyed the targets of a conditional enemy during exercises in the Chelyabinsk region. The military used 2S3 "Acacia" howitzers and BM-21 "Grad" multiple rocket launchers (MLRS). This is reported by TASS with reference to the press service of the district.
"According to the plan of practical actions, the calculations of the Orlan-10 unmanned aircraft identified the area of the base of the objects of the conditional enemy and transmitted their coordinates to the artillery command post. After confirming the locations of the objects designated for destruction, the calculations of self-propelled howitzers 2C3 "Acacia" brought down a barrage of fire on targets simulating advanced positions and nomadic enemy tanks," the report says.
Also, the gunners with the help of MLRS "Grad" destroyed the living force of the conditional enemy, which was hiding in underground structures. The press service reported that more than 120 pieces of equipment and over 500 military personnel were involved in the exercises.
Earlier, the units of the Northern Fleet worked out the fight against the tanks of a conditional enemy. The military used MT-12 Rapier anti-tank guns and 2S3M Acacia self-propelled howitzers.
In January, the commander of the Central Military District, Colonel-General Alexander Lapin, announced that in 2022 the Central Military District units would receive the Tornado-S MLRS.
In November 2021, it became known about the start of production of correctable missiles for the Tornado-S MLRS.
