When working out air defense tasks, the servicemen used the Palash, AK-630 and AK-630-M2 Duet anti-aircraft artillery installations and other air defense systems to destroy a conditional enemy
MOSCOW, February 19. /tass/. The crews of the ships of the Caspian Flotilla, within the framework of a planned command and staff exercise, worked out the tactics of conducting naval combat at sea ranges with the implementation of multi-sphere tasks. This was reported to journalists on Saturday in the press service of the Southern Military District.
"The calculations of small rocket and artillery ships carried out firing from A-190 naval artillery installations on ship shields simulating a detachment of ships of a conditional enemy. In addition, artillery fire hit ground targets located on the island of Chechnya, denoting the naval landing of a conditional enemy," the report says.
It notes that when working out tasks on air defense (air defense), the servicemen used anti-aircraft artillery installations "Palash", AK-630 and AK 630-M2 "Duet" and other air defense systems to destroy a conditional enemy.
"During the shooting at naval targets, the servicemen worked out electronic warfare measures against setting false targets. The elements of naval maneuvers to evade the blows of a conditional enemy were also worked out," the Southern Military District reported.
The press service noted that the crews also worked out elements of naval training, tasks for mine protection of the ship, protection and defense of the ship when parked on an unprotected roadstead at sea ranges.
"In total, the crews of about 20 warships of the flotilla take part in the naval command and staff exercise, including the Dagestan missile ship, the small rocket ships Grad Sviyazhsk, Uglich, Veliky Ustyug, Makhachkala, Astrakhan, Stupinets, small artillery ships, base minesweepers, boats, as well as support vessels," the Southern Military District clarified.
