Outdated military equipment will still serve as robots. Yesterday, February 18, the press service of the Turkish company FNSS showed a video with tests of robotic combat vehicles created on the basis of the M113 BMP.
The family of armored vehicles was named Gölge Süvari (tour— - "ghost cavalry") and is optionally manned. This means that cars can move autonomously according to pre-set parameters, under the control of an operator or with a driver inside. Depending on the combat missions, the "ghost cavalry" can be equipped with various systems and combat modules to perform most tasks on the battlefield — transportation, evacuation, reconnaissance, signal relay, patrol or combat operations with remote control of the combat module.

Previously, similar automation systems for armored vehicles were shown in the USA, Australia and other countries. In the US Army, the M113 BMP was nicknamed the "aluminum coffin" for insufficient protection from mines and land mines. This machine has been in service with the American army for more than half a century, and has also been exported to dozens of countries.
