The Russian and Belarusian military, with the support of artillery and aviation, worked out the destruction of the landing of a conditional enemy at the joint exercises "Allied Determination - 2022". This was reported to journalists on Thursday in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
"During the joint exercise "Allied Determination - 2022" at the Osipovichsky training ground in the Republic of Belarus, units of the Eastern Military District (VVO) with the support of artillery and aviation of the Union State destroyed a tactical landing of a conditional enemy," the ministry said.
According to the scenario of the exercises, under the cover of Su-35 fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Yak-130 aircraft and Mi-24 attack helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force carried out an air strike on ground targets at the training ground. In turn, the units of the multiple launch rocket systems "Smerch" and "Hurricane" inflicted a fire strike on the area of the conditional landing. And calculations of portable anti-aircraft missile systems "Verba" destroyed targets simulating helicopters at a distance of more than 3 thousand meters.
With the support of rocket artillery, calculations of D-30 howitzers, self-propelled artillery installations "Nona" units of the Eastern Military District completed the defeat of the tactical landing of the conditional enemy.
The joint exercises "Allied Resolve - 2022" are held from February 10 to 20, issues of suppressing and repelling external aggression, as well as countering terrorism and protecting the interests of the Union State are being worked out. The practical actions of the troops take place at the Domanovsky, Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brest and Osipovichi ranges and the airfields of Baranovichi, Luninets, Lida and Machulishchi.
