A detachment of warships of the Baltic Fleet has completed the Atlantic campaign. The corvettes "Stoyky" and "Savvy" returned to their permanent base - Baltiysk.
According to the information support department of the press service of the Baltic Fleet, the corvettes have traveled more than five thousand nautical miles, performing tasks in the Baltic and North Seas and in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean.
The crews have worked out dozens of shipboard exercises and training, including the search, detection and destruction of submarines of a conditional enemy. At the same time, anti-submarine weapons systems and Ka-27 anti-submarine helicopters were used.
There were marine units on board the corvettes, they worked out various anti-terrorist scenarios with shooting at sea targets from small arms and grenade launchers.
Specialists of rocket and artillery combat units have worked out artillery combat, anti-aircraft and anti-sabotage defense of ships. They trained in missile strikes against a detachment of "enemy" ships with anti-ship missile systems "Uran" with electronic launches.
The campaign began on January 23 and took place within the framework of the permanent naval presence of ships of the Baltic Fleet in its area of responsibility. The ships returned technically sound. The navy command will encourage the servicemen who distinguished themselves in a long campaign.
