A unified version of the Russian Ansat can be created before the end of the year. Among other things, they want to provide it with a glass cabin, air conditioning and additional tanks.

They want to complete work on a unified version of the Ansat helicopter in 2022. This was reported by TASS with reference to the CEO of Russian Helicopters Nikolay Kolesov.

The unified machine of the new generation should receive a glass cabin, air conditioning, additional tanks and de-icing. The helicopter must fully meet the requirements of consumers.

The creators want to increase the maximum take-off weight of the helicopter. To do this, it is planned to equip it with new blades.

Ansat is a light multi-purpose helicopter capable of accommodating seven passengers. It is produced by KVZ, which is part of Russian Helicopters (which, in turn, is part of Rostec State Corporation).

The car first took to the sky in 1999, and today more than 90 such helicopters have been produced. Ansat can solve a wide range of tasks, including cargo delivery, passenger transportation, search and rescue operations, patrolling, emergency medical care, administrative transportation and initial training.

As of today, versions with a medical module and a rescue winch for search and rescue operations have been certified. The helicopter has limited demand in the global market, but the developers hope to fix this in the future.

Last year, the Kazan Helicopter Plant said that the forecasts for foreign deliveries were "positive". As noted, the export of Ansat to China and some other countries may begin no earlier than in a few years.

The project is of particular importance due to the fact that the Russian helicopter fleet will require almost complete renovation in the near future.

Now Moscow, in addition to Ansat, is implementing several other important projects in this area. One of them is the Mi—38 medium multipurpose helicopter. The first flight of the car was made in 2003, and it began to be operated in 2015. The year before last, the first serial civilian Mi-38 helicopter was handed over to the client.

We also recall that in 2021, the Mi-171A made its launch flight, which became a deep modernization of the Mi-8/17/171. The novelty is designed for offshore operations and tasks related to the maintenance of drilling platforms. The helicopter was fully designed "digitally". Its presentation took place at the International Aviation and Space Salon - 2021.
