The operational and tactical aviation of the Air Force and Air Defense Association of the Southern Military District (SE), together with the naval aviation of the Black Sea Fleet, will conduct exercises during which they will work out the destruction of naval targets in the Black Sea. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday in the press service of the Southern Federal District.
As part of the exercises, more than 50 aircraft of the Air Force and Air Defense tactical aviation association were relocated to operational airfields to perform combat training tasks in the Black Sea.
"The flight crew of Su-27SM, Su-30SM fighters and Su-24M and Su-34 bombers will carry out missile launches and bombing at sea targets during flight tactical exercises, the crews need to confirm the ability to fly in a difficult jamming environment in the absence of support for ground guidance and control systems, as well as flights at extremely low altitude above the water surface," the message says.
Also, military pilots will perform tasks to accompany shipboard strike groups and actions to ensure security in the Black Sea. As noted in the press service, the exercises are aimed at improving the level of combat training.
