YEKATERINBURG, February 14. /tass/. Complex exercises of calculations of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) "Hurricane" and unmanned aircraft started at the training ground of the Central Military District (CVO) in the Chelyabinsk region. This is stated in a message distributed on Monday by the press service of the district.
"According to the plan of practical actions, taking place according to a single plan in a single tactical situation, reconnaissance units with the help of unmanned aerial vehicles "Orlan" revealed areas of accumulation of manpower and equipment of the conditional enemy. Then the calculations of the KRUS [intelligence, control and communications complex] "Sagittarius" guided multiple rocket launchers "Hurricane" to the identified positions," the report says.
It is clarified that the gunners inflicted defeats on the "enemy" objects, including carrying out the transfer of fire and leaving firing positions with actions in the reloading area.
The press service added that modern modifications of infantry fighting vehicles BMP-2M and equipment of special branches of the armed forces are also involved in the exercises - a total of over 150 pieces of equipment and more than 500 military personnel.
The exercises will last until the end of the week.
