The Ukrainian T-64BV tank received a machine gun that is similar to the American M2 Browning
The Ukrainian modification of the Soviet tank received a new machine gun. The upgraded T-64BV of the 2022 model was equipped with an anti-aircraft machine gun with a Laska K-2 machine gun, which looks similar to the American Browning M2. This is reported by the bmpd blog in LiveJournal.
The publication notes that the Soviet NSVT was replaced by a Laska K-2 machine gun. The weapon produced by the Kharkiv company "KHADO-Holding" looks similar to the American Browning M2 heavy machine gun, which was developed in 1932.
The Laska K-2 single machine gun uses a Soviet 12.7-by-108-millimeter cartridge. Weapons weighing 29 kilograms are designed to defeat lightly armored vehicles, air and surface targets.
Earlier, the Ukrainian enterprise KHBTZ started testing the upgraded T-64BV tank. The car received an improved fuel system, new surveillance devices and sights of the third generation.
In January, The Drive edition drew attention to the use of Soviet DP-27 machine guns by units of the territorial defense of Ukraine. The publication noted that the Soviet military used the DP-27 during the conflict with Finland.
