The marines of the Black Sea Fleet, together with units of the Southern Military District, worked out the defense of the Crimean coast during the exercises, the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Alexey Rulev, told reporters.
"The units in the tactical groups worked out tasks for the anti-amphibious defense of the coast with live firing by tank crews and combat calculations of artillery of the army corps of the Southern Military District on sea targets," Rulev said.
The units of the Marine engineering service of the Black Sea Fleet, together with the military personnel of the corps, carried out a set of measures to equip the borders and fortifications, reserve firing positions and ambushes, the installation of minefields on the front line of defense.
