The Russian space Agency told about the scheme of tests of rescue systems and landing of the ship "Eagle". During the tests, his return vehicle will be dropped four times from a helicopter.

The procedure for testing the Eagle security system at Vostochny was finally approved. This was reported by TASS with reference to the general director of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin.

The tests will begin in 2023 with the testing of the emergency rescue system, including the procedure of shooting, withdrawal and landing. Then they will conduct tests of the Eagle rescue system when it is brought out on the carrier. Also, according to Dmitry Rogozin, the returned device will be dropped four times from a helicopter, which will be part of the tests of the landing system.

Eagle is being developed by S. P. Korolev RSC Energia. It is designed to deliver cargo and people outside of Earth orbit. The crew size is up to six people, the payload weight is up to 500 kilograms. The Eagle can stay in autonomous flight mode for up to 30 days.

The first launch without astronauts on board was scheduled for December 15 next year from Vostochny. The tests will be conducted without docking with the ISS. In 2024, the ship will perform a second flight in unmanned mode, then they should dock with the station. Finally, the first manned launch of the Eagle is scheduled for 2025.

On the basis of this ship, they want to create a lightweight version - the Eaglet. He will inherit up to 90% of the details from the basic version. The weight reduction by five tons was achieved by reducing the number of crew to two astronauts and saving on life support systems. The main task of the ship will be a flight to the moon. They want to put the Eaglet into orbit with the help of the Angara-A5P launch vehicle.

The development of the Eagle is being conducted against the background of rumors about Russia's possible withdrawal from the ISS program and the creation of a national orbital station. If nothing changes, Moscow may start withdrawing from the program from the middle of the decade.

The national station will not be so much an analogue of the ISS as a more modern version of the Soviet "World". Earlier it became known that its mass will be approximately 60 tons.

Another status project of Moscow is the lunar station . They want to build it together with China. The parties have recently reached a consensus on its creation: they expect to sign a corresponding agreement soon. The station will be built in several stages. The creation of the facility should be fully completed by 2035.
