KHABAROVSK, Feb 2 - RIA Novosti. Infantry fighting vehicles "Basurmanin" will replenish the motorized rifle unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO) in the Jewish Autonomous Region (EAO) in February, the press service of the district reports.
It is noted that this combat vehicle is considered one of the best options for upgrading first-generation equipment.
"The motorized rifle unit of the combined arms army of the VVO in the Amur region will be replenished with new models of weapons. Infantry fighting vehicles BMP-1AM "Basurmanin" will replace the armed BMP-1. Already in the first half of February, a large batch of modernized equipment will be delivered to one of the military units in the EAO," the district reports.
It is clarified that instead of a turret with a 73 mm smoothbore gun "Thunder", a combat module with a 30 mm stabilized automatic gun with a more advanced combined sight is installed on the car. The anti-tank missile system "Metis" is used to combat armored enemy objects, and the "Cloud" system allows you to install camouflage aerosol curtains.
The power of the BMP-1AM engine is 300 horsepower. The maximum speed on the highway is 65 kilometers per hour. "Basurmanin" is able to overcome a moat 2.5 meters wide. The equipment is operated by a crew of three people, and eight servicemen can be accommodated in the landing compartment.
