Russian pilots of the Eastern Military District (VVO) intercepted reconnaissance aircraft of their "enemy" during the testing of tasks in Primorye on Mig-31 interceptor fighters and Su-30SM multi-purpose fighters. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the VVO.
"The aircrew of the VVO aviation unit stationed in Primorsky Krai, on Mig-31 interceptor fighters and Su-30SM multi-purpose fighters intercepted training air targets during the performance of flight tactical tasks," the report says.
It is also reported that the forces on duty of the air defense compound of the army of the Air Force and air defense of the district found scouts of a conditional enemy. The aircraft did not respond to requests for nationality.
