All logging trucks and vehicles involved in extinguishing forest fires will have equipment to track their movement online. This is assumed by the order of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the draft of which is posted on the portal for the publication of the developed regulations.

Beacons are required to support at least two navigation systems, the document says. Most likely, we are talking about the most common GPS and GLONASS.

Information about the coordinates of the location of the car will be transmitted via mobile and satellite communication networks, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment told RG. Thus, their work will be ensured even where there is no cellular signal. The government will determine the specific types of equipment for which entry into the forest without a control system will be impossible.

Similar equipment has already been installed on the cars of many loggers, representatives of the companies interviewed by RG reported. They need it to improve their work efficiency. Problems are possible only if the systems used turn out to be incompatible with the one on which the state stops. Business does not believe that fulfilling this requirement will result in significant costs for large companies. Small and medium-sized businesses may face difficulties.

The same control systems, in addition to logging trucks, will also be installed at the state expense of 17.7 thousand units of forest fire equipment. This is necessary for more precise coordination of firefighters' actions and, if necessary, rescue operations.

The Ministry of Natural Resources found it difficult to name the amount necessary for this. At the same time, companies in the forest industry warn that if there are overlaps with the purchase and installation of this equipment, difficulties may arise in extinguishing fires. Some cars simply will not be able to go to the place of ignition.

According to experts, the device itself can cost no more than a budget smartphone - from 3-5 thousand rubles. You will have to pay 200 rubles a month for working in cellular networks. The services of satellite communication operators can cost from a thousand rubles per month from each car.
