During the large-scale naval exercises, the ships of the Black Sea Fleet performed artillery firing on air and sea targets in the Black Sea. This was reported by the Information support department of the Black Sea Fleet.
- The naval strike group of the fleet included the frigate Admiral Essen, the patrol ship Ladny, the missile boats Naberezhnye Chelny and R-60. Their combat crews fired at targets simulating ships and means of air attack of a simulated enemy," the Black Sea Fleet said in a statement. - Also, the targets of artillery firing were floating mines and aerial targets, which were simulated by dropping luminous SUB-250 bombs from naval aviation and air defense aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet.
In turn, the crews of the Black Sea minesweeping ships continued the control and reconnaissance search for mines in the areas of the dispersal of fleet forces. Also, their crews worked out training grenade throwing and transmission of signals by lighting means of communication.
As previously reported by "RG", in total, more than 20 Black Sea Fleet warships are involved in planned fleet training. They are part of large-scale naval exercises that are currently being conducted in the waters of all seas adjacent to the Russian territory under the leadership of the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov. More than 140 warships and support vessels, more than 60 aircraft, 1000 units of military equipment, about 10 thousand military personnel are involved in them.
