Comprehensive anti-terrorism training took place in the military garrisons of the Pacific Fleet in Primorye, Sakhalin, Kamchatka and the Khabarovsk Territory, more than 1 thousand servicemen took part in them. They have worked out various scenarios for repelling attacks on military facilities, the press service of the TOPF reported on Friday.
"During the events, phased modes of strengthening the protection and defense of military facilities were carried out with a check of the work of the on-duty services. Various scenarios of repelling attacks on military units of the fleet and military facilities of central subordination located in garrisons have been worked out in practice," the report says.
In addition to the anti-terror units on duty, specialists of electronic warfare, engineering and sapper units and communications were involved in the training. To maximize the approximation of the situation in training to combat, blank ammunition and other means of imitation were used. In total, more than 1 thousand servicemen took part in the training, about 100 pieces of equipment were involved, including modern armored personnel carriers BTR-82A and special vehicles of mine clearance groups based on UAZ-2363, which entered service a few months ago.
