The crews of the small anti-submarine ships "Yeisk" and "Suzdalets" of the Black Sea Fleet conducted exercises on the organization of air defense and conducting naval combat by a single ship.
The training event was aimed at working out actions in the event of simultaneous threats from both the air and the sea.
"Having completed sea crossings each to their designated area, the sailors worked out a set of actions to search, escort and defeat the means of an air attack of a conditional enemy with artillery and anti-aircraft missile firing at sea and air targets simulating an enemy attack," the press service of the Black Sea Fleet reported.
Earlier, a detachment of ships of the Black Sea Fleet went to the naval training grounds to conduct exercises as part of the fleet forces. The crews of the Yeysk and Suzdalets as part of the anti-submarine ship strike group have already worked out the search for enemy submarines, as well as setting up training minefields on the routes of possible actions of the forces of the conditional enemy.
In total, about 20 ships and support vessels from the Black Sea Fleet take part in the exercise of the fleet forces, writes Novy Sevastopol.
