Technodinamika Holding is modernizing the production of Grad MLRS
The production of the multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) "Grad" is being modernized. The "Special Design Bureau" and the scientific and production association (NPO) "Alloy" named after A.N. Ganichev (part of the holding "Technodinamika") will ensure the release of the system on modern equipment, taking into account new technological processes. This is reported by Rostec State Corporation.
In Russia, the production of Grad systems is being modernized and they are working on a project for the serial production of a new Tornado-G MLRS. The work is carried out in the interests of the Russian Defense Ministry and other customers.
Rostec noted that the Grad MLRS has remained in demand for almost 60 years. On the basis of the Soviet system, the Tornado-G MLRS was developed. It is believed that the survivability of the new car has increased almost fivefold. The MLRS was equipped with a satellite navigation system that allows you to leave the position in a timely manner. This reduces the risk of being hit by return fire. Tornado-G was also equipped with new ammunition.
In December, Belarus began testing the upgraded MLRS "Hurricane-M". The machine on the MAZ-6317 chassis received modern means of communication and automation.
In November, sources in the defense Ministry reported that the unit of the Eastern Military District (VVO) will receive the Tornado-S MLRS. High-precision ammunition will also be handed over to the military.
