About 60 units of military equipment will be involved in the two-day exercises
YEKATERINBURG, January 12. /tass/. Exercises with the participation of about 1 thousand military personnel of artillery and motorized rifle units of the combined arms association of the Central Military District (CVO) started on Wednesday at a training ground in the Kemerovo region. This is stated in a message distributed on Wednesday by the press service of the district.
"During the exercise, which will last for two days, the servicemen will work out the march, the deployment of a field unit control system, combat coordination of various formations, conducting defensive actions. <...> In total, about 1,000 servicemen of motorized rifle and artillery units are involved in the exercise, and about 60 units of military equipment are involved," the message says.
In the practical stages of the exercises, calculations of Orlan drones will be involved to control the destruction of targets and adjust artillery fire, calculations of Grad multiple launch rocket systems and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles.
The combined arms association of the Central Military District is stationed on the territory of Novosibirsk, Kemerovo, Omsk, Tyumen, Irkutsk regions, Altai Krai, Tyva and Khakassia. It consists of motorized rifle, artillery and anti-aircraft missile formations, RCBZ troops and communications.
