Izvestia: in Russia, the infrastructure for hypersonic complexes "Dagger" is being prepared
At military airfields in the Russian regions, the preparation of infrastructure for hypersonic complexes "Dagger" is being completed. Special facilities are designed for maintenance and testing of hypersonic missiles. This is reported by the Izvestia newspaper.
Sources of the publication in the Ministry of Defense of Russia noted that the infrastructure for servicing hypersonic missiles is being created in the units of the Aerospace Forces (VKS), which will use the Dagger. Several regions of Russia are working on the equipment of missile storage arsenals, as well as sites for the repair, testing and maintenance of missiles.
Military expert Viktor Murakhovsky noted that the VKS units will provide storage, preparation for combat use and maintenance of missiles. He stressed that the VKS units are also ready to deploy MiG-31K aircraft that carry Daggers.
Earlier, the Russian Northern Fleet reported that the Zircon hypersonic missile was successfully launched from a surface ship almost ten times during tests.
In September, the head of the Rostec state Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, said that there are no means in the world that can withstand Dagger missiles. He noted that hypersonic missiles are characterized by high speed and accuracy.
