TSAMTO, January 10. In accordance with the training plan for the flight personnel of the Northern Fleet's naval fighter regiments in 2022, the crews of the Su-33 and MiG-29K carrier-based fighters will continue to improve their professional skills in the Crimea at the NITKA complex.
In 2021, such trainings lasted from the end of August to the middle of October. The pilots of two aviation regiments worked out the skills of landing on the deck of an aircraft carrier. In total, they spent about 200 flight hours on the simulator, performing passes over the "deck", touching it with the released landing gear and landing on a limited platform with a hook on the aerial finisher cable.
Both young and experienced pilots were involved in flights to the aviation complex. More than 10 pilots were prepared for landing on the deck. The regimental commanders and their deputies confirmed the right to direct flights and their instructor powers for the training of flight personnel, the press service of the Northern Fleet said on January 3.
The NITKA complex simulates the flight deck of the heavy aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov of the Fleet of the Soviet Union.
