In the interests of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, a mobile multipurpose robotic complex MRK-RKHBZ is being developed as part of two ground-based robotics and two unmanned aerial vehicles based on Orlan-10 with sets of replaceable attachments. This was reported in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
They clarified that the new complex is intended for conducting radiation, chemical and biological reconnaissance on the ground. And also to eliminate the consequences of the enemy's use of weapons of mass destruction in wartime. In peaceful conditions, it can be used to eliminate the consequences of accidents at objects that are dangerous from the point of view of environmental contamination.
"The ground facilities of the complex will ensure the conduct of radiation and chemical reconnaissance at a distance of up to 6 km, the range of the unmanned aerial vehicle from the information transmission complex will be 25 km," the Russian Defense Ministry noted. They added that the new complex for the RCBZ troops will be equipped with an interference-proof control and data transmission system, and the robots included in it will be able to perform tasks both independently - in automatic mode and under operator control.
"The work on the creation of the MRK-RKHBZ is carried out by industrial enterprises as part of the implementation of the state defense order," the ministry said.
