Military political scientist Koshkin called the open architecture an advantage of Checkmate
The Checkmate light tactical aircraft (LTS) is built on an open architecture, which allows you to change the configuration of the fifth-generation fighter. This causes the interest of potential customers in the aircraft. Andrey Koshkin, a military political scientist, head of the Department of Political Science and Sociology of Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, told about the main advantages of Checkmate on Sputnik radio.
According to him, the aircraft attracted the attention of potential customers with its high speed, range and combat load. Checkmate also received electronic equipment with elements of artificial intelligence, which increases its efficiency.
The military political scientist emphasized the advantages of the modular design of the fighter. "This is a modular aircraft, that is, we can create exactly the configuration that the customer would like to purchase. This is a "constructor" from which the machines that the customer wants to see can be created," Koshkin said.
Earlier, Alexander Mikheev, CEO of Rosoboronexport, said that Checkmate topped the rating of export samples of Russian weapons. In Russia, the LTS was shown for the first time at the MAKS-2021 aerospace salon.
In November, the head of the Rostec state Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, called the Checkmate advantage over the American F-35 Lightning II fighter. He noted that the Russian aircraft is more economically profitable.
