The author's Program of Alexander Rogatkin published on VGTRK on its YouTube channel posted footage of the rescue of Konstantin Murakhtin, the navigator of a Russian Su-24M bomber shot down by a Turkish fighter on November 24, 2015 in Syria.
The crew commander Oleg Peshkov was shot from the ground by militants after ejection. And the Syrian special forces, who landed with a parachute, miraculously managed to first remove Murakhtin from the landing site, and then evacuate him to a safe area.
It turned out that a drone helped to find the navigator. It was he who gave out the coordinates of his location in the province of Latakia, where a search and rescue team was immediately sent. Although the area was controlled by militants, the operation was successful. The footage taken from the drone clearly shows the smoke from the bomber that fell into the forest. And on the nearby road - the cars of the militants rushing there. They saw Murakhtin's parachute in the sky and seemed to know exactly where to look for the Russian pilot. One of the cars even opened fire on the alleged place of his landing. Judging by the dull sound of shots, the fire was fired from an anti-aircraft gun mounted on a pickup truck.
The head of the Department for the Construction and Development of the system for the use of unmanned aerial Vehicles of the General Staff, Major General Alexander Novikov, commenting on these shots, said that the territory where Murakhtin was hiding was literally "teeming with militants." According to the general, there were more than 20 pickups, including those with anti-aircraft guns. And at least four dozen militants. It was extremely difficult to find a rescue group in such conditions, among such a crowd of people. But they found her, oriented her, and brought her to Murakhtin. "After that, he was evacuated," Novikov explained.
The footage shows two Syrian special forces officers approaching the navigator and taking him away. Along the way, they are met by a group of people and escorted to cars.
A voice-over sounds: "As soon as the pilot is taken away, the Russian aviation strikes a powerful blow at the crash site." Then there was a video of planes dropping bombs and numerous flashes of explosions on the ground.
