Russia puts drone production on stream. Yesterday, on December 22, the press service of the Kronstadt company announced the opening in Dubno of the first specialized serial factory of large-sized unmanned aerial vehicles in the Russian Federation.
"This is the first aviation plant built in post-Soviet Russia. The company has three workshops: a site for the manufacture of parts and accessories made of composite materials and a painting department; an aggregate assembly workshop; a final assembly workshop. More than 400 items of forming and assembly equipment and equipment have been purchased, commissioning works are underway," the press service of the Kronstadt company reported.

The center is a single industrial site with a total area of more than 50 hectares, where the main production workshops of JSC "Kronstadt" and JSC "Dubna Machine-Building Plant named after N.P. Fedorov" (DMZ) are located. It is also indicated that during the creation of the new plant, the existing DMZ workshops were modernized, which will also produce auxiliary elements. The assembly of the first drones should begin this year.
The Kronstadt company is the developer of such drones as Orion, Thunder and a number of other aircraft.
