A series of exercises with the participation of large amphibious ships of the Pacific Fleet took place in the Sea of Okhotsk. "Admiral Nevelskoy" and "Oslyabya" worked out anti-mine tasks.
The ships carried out artillery firing from AK-725 artillery installations based on a mock-up of a floating mine. During the simulated air raid, the ship's crews of the Strela-2 anti-aircraft missile systems conducted training to repel an air attack without launching missiles. In addition, exercises were held on the Admiral Nevelsky and Oslyab to ensure parking safety.
"Also, exercises were conducted on large landing ships to ensure the safety of parking ships on an unprotected raid with the implementation of practical anti-sabotage grenade throwing," the information support department of the press service of the Eastern Military District for the Pacific Fleet told RG.
Earlier, exercises of MiG-31 interceptor fighters took place in Kamchatka, which flew in difficult weather conditions and landed on a conditionally damaged runway, and in the Sea of Japan, the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky submarine launched a Kalibr cruise missile.
