Serial production of the turboprop passenger aircraft is scheduled to begin in 2025. This was announced on Tuesday, December 21, by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov at the government hour in the State Duma.
He also noted that domestic aircraft manufacturing enterprises should produce more than a thousand aircraft by 2030.
"A landmark event for the industry in the past year was the approval of the state civil order program. By 2030, our enterprises must build more than a thousand aircraft," he said.
In addition, the Ka-32 and Mi-26T helicopters will be included in the fire squadron, the formation of which has already begun, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
"In order to combat forest fires in Russia and abroad, we are already starting to form a special squad," Manturov said.
It is also planned to begin deliveries of the IL-114 aircraft in 2023, he said.
"In addition to the development of the SSJ-100 project, we will start transferring the MS-21 airliner to airlines next year, and the Il—114 from 2023," Manturov said.
