Moscow. December 21. INTERFAX - The Central Military District is expected to hold about 300 exercises of various directions next year, taking into account the activation of terrorist organizations in the region, the commander of the Central Military District troops Alexander Lapin said.
"In total, in 2022 we plan to conduct more than 300 exercises in formations and military units of the Central Military District, as well as at Russian military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan," Lapin told reporters on Tuesday.
"The main efforts in the Central Military District were focused on increasing the combat readiness of the troops, rearmament with the latest and modernized weapons and their development. At the same time, special attention was paid to increasing the combat power of Russian military bases in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan," Lapin said.
"In total, more than 200 exercises of various levels and scales were held this year. Including one with research purposes, where the issues of conducting combat operations using unconventional methods of using troops were necessarily worked out," the military commander said. "During all the maneuvers, special attention was paid to the issues of combating unmanned aerial vehicles and sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the enemy."
