Russian ships will be able to sink submarines with missiles. Yesterday, December 15, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation published a video from the tests of the missile anti-submarine complex "Response".
The video shows the launch of a rocket from a universal launcher, which also allows the use of Onyx and Kalibr cruise missiles. The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation indicates that the underwater target was successfully hit by the warhead.
Launch of the rocket complex "Answer"
According to unofficial data, the "Answer" complex consists of an anti-submarine guided missile, which is fired from 3C-14 universal launchers. At the head of the missile is a small-sized homing anti-submarine torpedo. Having reached the target area, the rocket drops a torpedo into the water by parachute, which then continues its independent search for the enemy submarine using its sonar station. The maximum firing range of the missile complex in the variant for surface ships is 40 km.
