SIMFEROPOL, Dec 14 - RIA Novosti. The newest logistics support vessel Vsevolod Bobrov makes an inter-fleet transfer from Baltiysk to the main base point – Sevastopol, where it will become part of the Black Sea Fleet, said the head of the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Alexey Rulev.
In August of this year, Vsevolod Bobrov was accepted into the Navy, the St. Andrew's flag was raised on it.
"The ship will make the transition to the permanent base – Sevastopol, it will become part of the Black Sea Fleet," Rulev told RIA Novosti, noting that the transition from the Baltic to the Black Sea may take a month or more, depending on weather conditions.
Earlier, the flagship specialists of the Black Sea Fleet headquarters, who arrived in Baltiysk, checked the material part of the vessel, made the admission of personnel to the exit and the inter-fleet passage.
The project 23120 was developed by the St. Petersburg Design Bureau "Spetssudoproekt". The length of the vessel is about 95 meters, width about 22 meters, draft about 9 meters, displacement - 9.5 thousand tons, cruising range - about 5 thousand miles, autonomy - about 60 days, crew - 27 people. During rescue operations, the vessel can take on board up to 43 people, including crew members.
The Vsevolod Bobrov logistics support vessel of Project 23120 is designed for cargo transportation, towing, hydrographic research, and assistance to ships in distress. Thanks to the crane equipment and the dynamic positioning system, the vessel can perform loading operations at unequipped berthing walls and in the open sea. Automation class A1 provides maintenance-free service. The hull with the ARC4 ice class is designed to overcome ice with a thickness of 0.6 m.
