TSAMTO, December 13. The marine navigable floating crane SPK-60150 became part of the support vessels of the Kola flotilla of heterogeneous forces. A solemn raising of the flag of the auxiliary fleet of the Russian Navy took place at the main base of the association – the Polar One.
The flotilla commander, Rear Admiral Eduard Mikhailov, took part in the ceremony. He handed the flag to the captain of the floating crane Alexey Bagryantsev and congratulated the crew on joining the association.
The head of the auxiliary fleet of the Northern Fleet, Captain 1st Rank Alexey Shekhunov, who took part in the ceremony, noted that there are five units of such sea floating cranes in the Northern Fleet and the operation of the crane is planned not only in the interests of the flotilla, but also other military units and formations of the fleet.
According to the captain of the floating crane Alexey Bagryantsev, his crew is formed of well-trained specialists. In addition to education in the specialty, the sailors have considerable experience working on auxiliary vessels of the Northern Fleet. Before accepting the vessel, the crew had an internship on similar floating cranes.
SPK-60150 is designed to perform all types of lifting operations, loading discharge and ordinary cargo on surface ships and submarines both at the berth and on the roadstead. The crane is designed to lift loads weighing up to 150 tons.
The marine self-propelled floating crane can move unaccompanied by tugs between the bases, is able to withstand sea waves up to 3 points and overcome shallow ice. The autonomy of the vessel in terms of food reserves is 10 days.
During the construction of the SEC-60150, the latest technologies were used, modern equipment was installed, workplaces were automated as much as possible, and comfortable conditions were created for the accommodation of personnel. The ship has a medical unit for pre-medical care, equipped with the necessary medicines, equipment and a defibrillator. If necessary, a paramedic is seconded to the crew, the press service of the Northern Fleet reports.
