TSAMTO, December 13. The engineering division of the combined arms army of the VVO, according to the plan for providing engineering equipment, will receive a heavy mechanized bridge TMM-3M2.
The TMM-3M2 has significantly improved the possibilities for installation time and mobility of movement on the roads, unlike the TMM-3M based on the KrAZ car.
The set consists of four cars based on the KAMAZ-53501 triaxial chassis.
The main difference between the TMM-3M2 and the TMM-3M is the replacement of a mechanical winch for the assembly and disassembly of the bridge with a hydraulic one, which allows you to change the speed of opening (folding) and lowering (lifting) of the bridge block in a larger range than the mechanical one, which reduces the installation time of the bridge.
Rear-view cameras are installed to monitor the location of the bridge spans.
The heavy bridge is designed for the equipment of bridge crossings up to 40 m wide through various obstacles on the paths of the movement of troops on both wheeled and tracked vehicles.
The military personnel of the Air Force will have additional training to work on new equipment, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
