"Pilots of two types of aircraft perform the most difficult element of flight training at a speed of 600-650 km / h, approaching the tanker at a distance of up to ten meters," the report says.
According to the military, during the exercise, pilots practice paired and single refueling from a tanker at an altitude of about 7 thousand meters and interaction with the tanker commander.
In total, eight Su-34 and Su24MR are involved in the exercise, the Central Military District clarified.
The Su-24MR is a tactical reconnaissance aircraft, part of naval aviation and air defense.
The Su-34 was developed by Sukhoi (part of the United Aircraft Corporation), and has been mass-produced since 2005. Designed to defeat enemy ground and air targets at any time of the day or night under any meteorological conditions. The Su-34 uses long-range air-to-surface and air-to-air guided weapons.
