The Hubble Space Telescope has returned to full operation. Earlier, he was transferred to safe mode due to equipment problems.
NASA has restored the operation of the Hubble automatic Observatory equipment, which was put into safe mode in the fall due to technical problems. The spectrograph with the imaging function was returned to work on Monday.
In October, experts identified a problem that was associated with the disappearance of several synchronization messages between Hubble's tools and its payload computer.
Scientific research was suspended for the time of studying the causes of the accident. As it was reported at the time, it would have taken several weeks to fix the problem.
Hubble was launched on April 24, 1990, so it's not surprising that technical problems are increasingly making themselves felt. Nevertheless, no one plans to abandon the telescope: in any case, in the foreseeable future. According to calculations, Hubble will descend from orbit only after 2030. It will be flooded in the Pacific Ocean.
At the same time, Hubble's successor, the James Webb Space Telescope, is to be launched on December 22. The launch broadcast will be available on our website.
