Innovations have been introduced into the tactics of the engineering and sapper units of the Central Military District (CVO) in 2021.
This was announced by the head of the engineering troops of the Central Military District Dmitry Koruts.
"This year, for the first time, three new methods of application were introduced and successfully mastered in the tactics of the actions of the engineering assault units of the Central Military District: blockade, breakthrough and maneuverable," Koruts said.
He also stressed that the training of formations and military units of the engineering troops of the Central Military District was conducted taking into account the experience of modern armed conflicts.
"The new methods are a complex of actions of troops that has not been used before, characterized by impetuosity aimed at suppressing the enemy before he can provide organized resistance, his isolation in order to abandon his intentions and the advantageous location of his troops," Koruts added.
In total, in 2021, about 200 combat training events were held with the units of the engineering troops of the district.
