Moscow. December 7. INTERFAX - The Russian corvette Stoyky conducted an exercise in the Baltic Sea with a combat launch of an anti-ship cruise missile at a target simulating a simulated enemy ship, the Russian Baltic Fleet reported on Tuesday.
"As part of the planned sea launch, the crew of the Stoyky corvette successfully completed the task of launching a missile strike at a sea target simulating a simulated enemy warship," the press service of the Russian Baltic Fleet reported.
According to her, the shooting was carried out using the main strike weapon of the corvette - the anti-ship missile system "Uran". The corvette also conducted an air defense exercise using the A-190 artillery complex, the press service said.
According to the military, the Baltic Fleet's naval training ground, where the exercise took place, was declared temporarily dangerous for civilian shipping and aviation flights.
"Up to 10 warships and auxiliary vessels of the Baltic Fleet were involved to ensure the performance of combat exercises by the corvette," the fleet said.
Baltflot reported that the corvette conducted a number of exercises - on electronic warfare, survivability, anti-sabotage defense, organization of interaction and communication between missile firing support ships.
The Stoyky corvette is the third production ship of Project 20380. The corvettes of project 20380 have a displacement of 2 thousand tons, a length of more than 100 meters, a maximum speed of up to 27 knots, and an autonomous navigation range of 4 thousand miles.
