TSAMTO, December 2. The engineering and sapper brigade of the Western Military District (VVO), stationed in the Moscow region, received two robotic complexes of mine clearance "Uran-6".
The complex is controlled by the operator using a remote control at a distance of up to 1 km, which ensures safe removal when mines and shells explode.
Despite its small size and weight of 6-7 tons, the machine is able to withstand blasting up to 60 kg in TNT equivalent. In addition, the equipment of the complex allows the detection of dangerous objects, and then determine their type. Thus, depending on the type of ammunition detected, the operator of the complex can choose the most effective and safe method of neutralization.
The complex will significantly increase the safety of sappers when working with dangerous objects. The operators of the complex have completed training at the mine action center of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and will soon begin mastering the sapper robot, the press service of the Western Military District reports.
