Presented this year at the defense industry exhibition "Army-2021" in Moscow, the guided missile "product 305E", originally developed for FSB helicopters, is capable of hitting targets at a distance of about 15 kilometers, which will make it attractive to foreign buyers, writes Defence24.
The Polish edition appreciated the modernization of the Russian missile designed for the Ka-52M and Mi-28NM helicopters of export versions. "According to available data, the missile has a total weight of 105 kilograms, of which 25 kilograms is the warhead. The length of the projectile is 1945 millimeters, the diameter of the body is 200 millimeters. The solid-fuel engine provides a power reserve of up to 14.5 kilometers at a maximum speed of about 900 kilometers per hour," the publication says.
It is noted that the rocket uses an inertial navigation system (INS) or a Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) at the initial stage of the flight, and a thermal imaging head at the final stage. "The radio operator has the ability to specify or change the target of the attack at the final stage of the flight," writes Defence24.
