During a recent visit to the Uralvagonzavod by Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko, he and his accompanying officials, in addition to the T-14, were presented with a modern Russian T-90M "Breakthrough" tank.
As reported in the material of Yuri Avdeev in the newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda, the final batch of sixty-five "Breakthroughs" planned for this year is planned to be delivered by the end of 2021. The last batch to leave the workshop will consist of eight such tracked armored vehicles.
It is noted that according to the priority of innovations in the T-90M, specialists put the new fire control system in the first place.
The tower has also been structurally changed, its reserved volume has been increased compared to the earlier T-90A. This makes it possible to mount additional equipment, including providing the possibility of integration into a single tactical link control system. The non-mechanized ammunition is placed in a separate turret module, which is located outside. The level of security has been increased, including by installing a new dynamic protection "Relict".
- Under the current contract, the T-90M tank is not equipped with an active protection complex, but there is such a possibility, - said the acting head of the 47th military mission, Major Dmitry Repin.
