TSAMTO, November 30. The latest armored ambulance vehicles "Lens" have been delivered to the medical units of the motorized rifle unit of the Amur Combined Arms Association of the VVO.
The Lens armored car was created on the basis of the KAMAZ Typhoon-K 4x4 and is equipped with a modern engine that provides a vehicle weighing about 16 tons with a speed of more than 100 km/h. The armored vehicle "Lens" allows you to evacuate up to six servicemen from the battlefield.
Combined armor protection consisting of ceramics and steel, as well as armored glass provide all-round protection of the crew from any type of small arms, the design of the crew seats, chassis and bottom of the body of the armored car "Typhoon-K" allows you to withstand the detonation of mines with a capacity of up to 8 kg in TNT equivalent. Even if one of the wheels is damaged, the armored car can travel about 50 km over rough terrain.
In the near future, the personnel of medical units will have to work out the procedure for evacuating the conditionally wounded during field exercises on new equipment, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
