Export-oriented modifications of the latest Russian attack helicopters - Ka-52M and Mi-28NM - will receive a guided multipurpose missile "Product 305E" as part of the armament. This was reported to TASS by the Deputy General Director of the High-Precision Complexes holding (part of the Rostec State Corporation) Sergey Mikhailov during the international arms exhibition EDEX 2021.
"The missile can be included in the armament of export-oriented combat helicopters Ka-52M and Mi-28NM. This will radically strengthen their capabilities to defeat all types of targets on the battlefield," he said.
According to him, this missile became the first Russian multipurpose weapon for helicopters. "Previously, two modifications of missiles were created to defeat armored and other targets - for example, this principle is implemented in the Ataka family. Now helicopters will be able to hit any targets on the battlefield with a single ammunition," Mikhailov added.
The missile "Product 305E" was developed by the Kolomna Engineering Design Bureau (KBM, part of the NGO "High-Precision Complexes") and was first presented at the Army-2021 forum. The guaranteed flight range of the "Product 305E" is up to 14.5 thousand meters.
