The Progress M-UM spacecraft module with the Berth node module has docked to the International Space Station (ISS), Roscosmos reports .
The docking of the last Russian module with the ISS took place on November 26 at 18:26 Moscow time.
The separation of the instrument-aggregate compartment from the "Berth" is scheduled for December 22 at 01:20.
The Soyuz-2.1b rocket with the Progress M-UM transport cargo ship and the Berth node module launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome to the ISS on November 24 at 16:06.
In November, cosmonautics historian Alexander Zheleznyakov told TASS that a record could be set during the launch of the Berth node module to the ISS using the Russian Soyuz-2.1b rocket. The Agency recalled that the maximum load of Soyuz-2 placed into near-Earth orbit is 8.25 tons, whereas on November 24, 8.18 tons will be launched.
In the same month, Roscosmos announced that the Soyuz-2.1b rocket, which is to launch the last module for the Russian segment of the ISS into orbit, was taken out and installed on the launch pad at the Baikonur cosmodrome.
In July, the Proton-M rocket with the Nauka module launched from Baikonur to the ISS.
