The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) checked the combat readiness of multiple rocket launchers "Alder". The corresponding video is published on YouTube.
The Defense Express agency writes that we are talking about testing 300-millimeter R624 "Alder" rocket projectiles with a range of up to 70 kilometers, adopted in 2018, at one of the ranges of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The missiles are mass-produced by the Luch Bureau. It is noted that in the future, the APU will receive R624M "Alder-M" shells with a range of up to 120 kilometers.
In February, "Alder", created on the basis of the Soviet MLRS 9K58 "Smerch", in the publication of the Ukrainian edition "Censor.NO" was called a terrible weapon capable of delivering a powerful high-explosive warhead weighing 250 kilograms at a range of 70 kilometers with an accuracy of plus or minus 20 meters. "Russian troops could be burned out in the event of an invasion from safe distances," the article said.
In April 2018, Luch for the first time showed footage of an Alder missile hitting a target.
