Roscosmos postponed the launch of the Proton-M heavy launch vehicle with the Express-AMU3 and Express-AMU7 telecommunications satellites from December 6 to 12. This was reported to TASS by the Director General of the state corporation Dmitry Rogozin.
According to him, this is due to the need to refine the upper stage.
The previous launch of Proton-M took place in July. He became the 11th in a row. From the Baikonur cosmodrome, the carrier launched a 20-ton multifunctional laboratory module (MLM) "Science" into space.
Sergey Savelyev, Deputy Director General of the Roscosmos State Corporation for International Cooperation, said earlier that Proton-M will be operated until 2025. In the future, it is planned to replace it with a more environmentally friendly Angara rocket. It uses environmentally friendly fuel components - oxygen and kerosene.
