Factory tests of the universal minelayer "Tick-G", which, as reported, can detain entire enemy units, have been completed. It has launchers that hold a total of 270 mine cassettes.
The completion of factory tests of a new minelayer on a tracked chassis was reported by RIA Novosti sources in the military-industrial complex. Now the prototypes are being prepared for state tests.
The novelty was developed by specialists of Uralvagonzavod. The chassis of the T-72 main battle tank (MBT) was used as a base for it.
According to one of the agency's interlocutors, thanks to the minefields installed by the "Tick", it is possible to detain entire enemy units. One such vehicle has nine launchers containing 270 mine cassettes. "Tick-G" is capable of putting up barriers of more than 1,000 anti-personnel mines POM-2 or 270 anti-tank PTM-4.

"Tick-G" can mine at speeds up to 40 kilometers per hour. Cassettes with mines are fired from launchers. The unpacking of cassettes takes place in flight — a special algorithm was used for this.
The machine received the equipment of the unified tactical control system, which allows transmitting data on the delivery of minefields in a time mode close to real time.

Recall that Russia is currently developing several families of armored vehicles on new platforms at once. The main novelty can be called the basis of the T-14 combat tank based on the Armata heavy tracked platform, which received an uninhabited tower and an active protection complex (KAZ).
It became known about the dispatch of the first batch of new MBT to the troops in August. In the same month, it was reported that by the end of the year, 20 T-14 tanks on the basis of "Armata" should be handed over to the military. Even earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said that serial production of the tank will begin next year.
It should also be noted that in August it became known about the beginning of state tests of an infantry fighting vehicle and an armored personnel carrier based on the "Boomerang" wheeled platform. The Ministry of Defense previously named 2019 as the delivery dates for the first vehicles, but they could not be met. Now they want to transfer the experimental-industrial party's "Boomerangs" to the military "in the near future."
Another new platform for various types of military equipment was the Kurganets-25. On its basis, among other things, an armored personnel carrier and an infantry fighting vehicle were developed.
