Complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles are maximally unified among themselves, the company noted
DUBAI, November 15. /tass/. The aviation means of destruction (ASP) that are in service and are being tested completely solve the strike tasks of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) of Kronstadt JSC. This was announced to TASS by the company's CEO Sergey Bogatikov at the Dubai Airshow 2021 International Airshow.
"The complex of aviation weapons should be optimal for the carrier and harmoniously complement it. At the moment, the list of strike tasks being solved is completely closed by existing ASPs that are being tested or are already in service with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation," Bogatikov said.
He noted that the complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles developed by Kronstadt JSC are maximally unified among themselves and have the potential inherent in the design and software for the modernization and adaptation of new ammunition. "At the same time, we are trying to conduct such work together with KTRV (Tactical Missile Armament Corporation), KBP (JSC Design Bureau of Instrument Engineering), TsNIIHM (Central Research Institute of Chemistry and Mechanics) and UZGA (JSC Ural Civil Aviation Plant) to prepare the foundations for the creation of promising ASPs," he stressed.
He recalled that some enterprises are engaged in testing 50 and 100 kg caliber ammunition and developing cheaper adjustable aircraft bombs. "At the moment, a number of enterprises are working in this direction in the interests of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, including key ones in this industry. As for the results and timing of the tests, the answer to this question is the concluded supply state contracts for complexes with unmanned aerial vehicles, including at the Army-2021 forum," the company's CEO said.
Dubai Airshow is one of the largest international aviation and space exhibitions and is held in the UAE once every two years. Russia has been participating in it since 1993.
