MOSCOW, November 13. /tass/. The share of modern samples of military equipment in the radiation, chemical, biological protection (RCBZ) troops will amount to 75.6% this year. In the near future, military units will receive more than 200 units of special equipment, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported.
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation celebrate the 103rd anniversary of the formation of the RCBZ troops on November 13.
"By the end of the year, more than 200 units of special equipment will be delivered to the formations and military units, including the RCB reconnaissance vehicles RHM-601, special processing equipment - KDA, laboratories - KLP-1O, equipped with equipment for PCR analysis, smoke machines TDA-3. Since this year, the supply of RCB reconnaissance vehicles RHM-8 and heavy flamethrower systems TOS-2 has been organized for the troops," the department reported. It is noted that taking into account deliveries in 2021, the share of modern samples will be 75.6%.
The ministry recalled that this year the consolidated detachment of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, which included specialists of the RCBZ troops, carried out tasks to eliminate chemical contamination in the city of Usolye-Sibirsky.
In addition, the servicemen of the RCB protection troops make a significant contribution to the fight against the emergence and spread of a new coronavirus infection. Disinfection of military and civilian infrastructure facilities continues by the forces and means of the RCB Protection troops. There are 39 consolidated detachments in reserve to assist the subjects of the Russian Federation.
The history of the RCBZ troops dates back to November 13, 1918, when the chemical service of the Red Army was created by order of the Revolutionary Military Council of the Republic No. 220 and the formation of the first bodies and units of chemical protection was organized.
