The Russian government will quadruple financial support for domestic software projects in industry. This was announced on Monday by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mikhail Mishustin at a meeting with deputy prime ministers via videoconference, reports TASS .
He specified that in the coming years it is planned to implement four projects on innovative development of the manufacturing industry.
These are technologies of the Internet of things, artificial intelligence, robotics, sensors, virtual and augmented reality, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers listed. He noted that the introduction of such technologies will help to increase labor productivity, reduce the cost of goods and accelerate their entry into the market.
According to him, in order to maintain the competitiveness of production, it is necessary not only to successfully switch to digital, but also to organize work on new principles: quickly, efficiently and cheaply, according to specific customer requirements.
In general, he called digital transformation, which concerns the manufacturing industry, a strategic direction.
