In Rostov, military chemists used "hot fog" to combat COVID-19

In Rostov-on-Don, soldiers and equipment of the radiation, chemical and biological protection troops were attracted to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection. With the help of thermal machines TMS-65U "hot fog", the assembly point of the military enlistment office of the Rostov region and other premises will be disinfected.

"The disinfectant is turned into a powerful gas-drip stream and sprayed with a special heat machine. "Hot fog" - high-energy steam penetrates into any cavities due to its physical characteristics, covers the treated surface better than a jet of liquid or powder," Colonel Vadim Astafyev, head of the press service of the Southern Military District, told RG.

This method allows you to disinfect the external and internal surfaces of objects in a matter of minutes, including the most inaccessible cavities. A powerful engine allows you to process 30-40 units of large-sized equipment in an hour. And if you fit the car to the windows of the building, it can quickly disinfect the interior of the first and second floors.

In wartime, the TMS-65 heat engine and its modifications on the chassis of the Ural truck are designed to decontaminate equipment that has left the infected zone after a nuclear explosion or chemical weapons, as well as for setting aerosol curtains.

According to Rospotrebnadzor, 24,803 residents of the region suffer from coronavirus infection. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 8,013 people have died.
