TSAMTO, November 10. Lockheed Martin Corp. (Fort Worth, Texas) signed a framework contract with the US Air Force worth $ 10.863 billion for the support and modernization of the fleet of F-22 Raptor fighters.
As reported in the press release of the US Defense Ministry on November 5, the project of modernization and support of the fleet of 186 fighters has been concluded with the Office of the F-22 program for the Advanced Raptor Enhancement & Sustainability (ARES) project.
The contract provides for the supply of necessary materials and services to support the F-22 fleet, including the purchase of equipment kits for modernization, as well as logistics services.
Work on the project is expected to be completed by October 31, 2031. For the fiscal year 2021, funds have been allocated for research, development, testing and evaluation in the amount of 200 thousand dollars.
